I would like to tell you'll about the grandest and the greatest ayah in the noble quran. Our maker the almighty  he states in surah Baqarah (Ayat al Kursi) It is a powerful ayah and you know interestingly there   is      an authentic  narration that has been reported to us and this particular narration has been reported by Abu Huraira (RA)  and the narration goes along the lines of these words :

At once some wealth had come in and that needed to be distributed in charity and the prophets  (PBUH) he puts Abu Huraira (RA) in charge of this Wealth Now what happens, Night falls, Abu Hurairah (RA) who is in charge of this wealth, you know there must have been a lot of things he was looking after these things and then suddenly he notices a man pilfering away from the wealth, he runs up to him and he catches him and he tells him I am going to produce you in front of the Prophet(PBUH)  because you are stealing and the man he starts giving out all kinds of beautiful stories he puts up a big drama like " I'm so poor, I have kids to feed and it's dire poverty that drove me to do this, please let me go I will not do this again" so Abu Hurayrah(RA) who was a soft-hearted individual, He feels sorry for the man and he lets him go...Now morning comes Abu Hurayrah meets the Prophet(PBUH). And Rasool (PBUH) asked Abu Hurayrah(RA), " Abu Hurayrah what happened to your prisoner last night? Now Abu Hurayrah(RA) was baffled, how did the Prophet (PBUH)  know about this encounter obviously Allah (Subhanawtaala) had informed the Rasool (SAW) about this encounter and then Abu Huraira (RA) mentions the entire story with the Prophet Allah Prophet (PBUH) then tells him Ya Abu Hurayrah he is going to come tonight as well.SubhanAllah,
Now Abu Huraira (RA) is intrigued and not only that he's extremely alert, Night falls he catches the man again and this time he tells: I'm producing you the Prophet(PBUH), and Once again the man starts all his pitiful stories he says, he weeps, he laments and he tells him please let me go, please let me go. until finally Abu Hurayrah feels sorry for the man and he lets him .. And morning comes the Prophet (PBUH ) asks the same question again, "Ya Abu Hurayrah what happened to your prisoner last night?
And then Abu Huraira(RA) narrates whatever happened the night before and in the Prophet (PBUH) tells him Ya Abu Hurayrah he will come tonight as well now the third night Abu Huraira (RA) is determined and says come what may I'm not letting this man go he catches the man he tells him Ya Rajul I'm not letting you go I'm producing you in front of Prophet(PBUH) whatever you say now the man knows that Abu Huraira (RA) is determined not to let him go so he tells him "Ya Abu Hurayrah what if I were to teach you something, something worthwhile will you let me go now Abu Hurayrah(RA) was anyway a very keen student of knowledge was intrigued this peaked his curiosity what is this man at this juncture going to teach me He tells him, Okay fine. if it's worthwhile and then the man teaches him if you read the Ayat Al Kursi before you go to bed at night Allah (SWT) appoints a protector over you and no devil no Shaytan can get close to you now Abu Huraira (RA) lets the man go. Next day morning he informs the prophet of Allah (SWT) about this entire ordeal this entire encounter And you know what the prophet (PBUH)says. he says Ya Abu Hurayrah that man is generally a liar is he never speaks the truth but this time he has spoken the truth and then he goes on to inform him that, that was none other than on Shaytan himself.
Shaytan in the guise of a human being and it was from the will of Allah(SWT) that he should teach such a powerful thing and now see we're not believing the words of Shaytan here The prophets (PBUH) acknowledges what shaytan said, therefore, it is true and it is a powerful form of protection you read ayat ul kursi before going to sleep Allah appoints a protector over you and no devil no Shaytan can think of even getting close to you such a powerful ayat it is. After every single prayer makes it part of your Adhkaar obviously. It is from the Adhkaar that you read in the morning in the evening where you read Ayat al Kursi is you know like you donning armour to protect yourself from the attacks of the devil it offers this AURA of protection around you. you are protected by Allah (SWT) and therefore my dear brothers and sister of Islam you must take hold of this ayah, study about the ayah and just go into the Tafseer of the ayah, You're going to be blown away by the might and the power of this Ayah. It talks about Allah (SWT) and likewise makes sure that you read this ayah often whenever you feel scared and whenever there is fear involved read this Ayah and Allah (SWT)is with you

The Story about How Abu Hurayrah (R.A)Met The Shaytaan (Devil)

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْراً وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى القَوْمِ الكَافِرِينَ

Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana wansurna 'alal-qawmil-kafirin

Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance, make our foothold sure, and give us help against the disbelieving folk.

Al-Baqarah - 2:250

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabraw wa tawaffana Muslimeen

Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims.

Surah Al-A'raf - 7:126

The Prophet Ayyub (as) has a very powerful story that is told to us in the Qur'an at a couple of different places, and I'm going to drawing on both of them a little bit. We'll start off by basically establishing the story from Surah al-Anbiya, surah number 21. In surah number 21, Allah (swt) tells us:

(waayyooba ith nadarabbahu annee massaniya addurru waanta arhamuarrahimeen).

Allah (swt) says, "Remember, Ayyub (as). Focus, reflect on Ayyub." Why? Remember the time when he called out to his Lord.

(annee massaniya addurru)

a lot of difficulty and adversity afflicted me. I'm dealing with a lot my Lord, my Master.

(waanta arhamuarrahimeen)

You are the Most Merciful of all of those capable of showing any mercy. Allah ( (swt)) tells us فَاسْتَجَبْنَالَهُ, (fastajabna Lahu), We immediately answered his prayers. And Allah says وَءَاتَيْنَهُ

(waataynahu ahlahuwamithlahum maAAahum rahmatan min AAindina wathikralilAAabideen).

So now let's talk about the back story a little bit. Ayyub (as), the hadith of the Prophet (saw), and the books of tafsir explain to us, Ayyub(as) was a man who was an extremely handsome man. Someone who came from a really beautiful place, he had a beautiful family that he was raising, he was a very wealthy individual, he had a great business, fantastic home, great family, good health. Just an absolute, picture-perfect scenario. At that point in time, Allah (swt), again to provide for us a role model, Allah (swt) tested him. Here's where it gets a little bit difficult.

Some might find this very tragic. Some of the narrations say that he became extremely ill and sick. Specifically, it was to the point where his skin and body were rotting. All different types of physical ailments. Not only was he dealing with disease and illness, but he was separated from his own family. He was forced to leave his own home, his business started to suffer, and so that was kind of the unfolding of everything in his life. Some of the scholars of tafsir actually mention that he suffered the loss of his family. Many of his family members actually passed away, like this is somebody who is struggling on all fronts. Usually, when we talk about a situation like this, there's one last piece to the puzzle.

Usually, when we tell a story like this, we also talk about that person struggling spiritually. But, Ayyub (as) did not struggle spiritually. This is a great prophet of Allah. He kept his faith. Never was shaken in his belief of Allah. Many of these different prophets we talk about, different aspects of qualities of faith shine through in their stories. From their belief to their conviction, to their integrity, different qualities surface. The quality of Ayyub (as) that really rises up to the surface, that really shines through and breaks through, from the life of an already amazing individual, is the quality of patience. He never lost his cool.

Why do I say it like that? Patience. A lot of times when we talk about sabr, when we talk about patience, we either talk about it in such an overbearing manner, where it seems humanly impossible. Like patience is not feeling anything. That's not... that's preposterous. Not feeling anything is not being human, not being alive. You do feel something. Or, when we talk about patience, we talk about it in a very scientific, technical, sterile fashion, like it's a lab experiment. But no, sabr (patience) is very human, it's a human ability that we all have. We just have to hone in on it, we have to develop it, and we have to emphasize our sabr (our patience). What does the word sabr even mean in the Arabic language? We just translate it as patience.  The word sabr in Arabic literally means to tie something down. That's why Allah told the Prophet (saw), keep yourself with those people, tie yourself to those people, keep company with those people, stay with those people. And so sabr is tying it down. Having restraint. You feel the pain, you know the situation and circumstances, you're hurting, and you're hurting real bad. But through all of that, you're able to keep your perspective, you're able to maintain your demeanour, you're able to keep your cool.

That's the thing, Ayyub (as) did not lose his head. He didn't get out of control, but he maintained his patience, he maintained his stability, and he kept remembering Allah (swt). He kept turning to Allah. What got him through such difficult times was his connection with Allah, his remembrance of Allah. There were times when he barely had another soul around him. The Qur'an tells us that it was his wife that was there for him, and outside of that, there was nobody else. But it was the remembrance of Allah, and his patience, and the sweetness of that patience, that faith (that iman), that got him through such difficult times. Eventually, when the time came, when the time was right, he raised his hands and he called out to Allah, he made dua, and Allah  (swt) rescued him. He saved him. Allah says, "We answered his prayer. We removed his difficulty. We cured him of his illness and disease. Not only that, but We reunited him with his family."

(waataynahu ahlahuwamithlahum maAAahum)

We not only reunited him with his family, but We increased his family. We not only returned his wealth to him, but We increased his wealth. We not only repaired his health, but we increased his health. رَحْمَةّمِّنْ عِندِنَ, (rahmatan min AAindina), and all of this was special mercy and a gift from Allah  (swt) to reward Ayyub (as) for not just being patient but being the pinnacle of patience. Being a role model of patience. That's why I'll reference another place in the Qur'an. In Surah Saad, surah number 38, Allah (swt) says:

 (inna wajadanhu sabirann)

no matter what the situation was, no matter how difficult circumstances became, We always found Ayuub (as) to be patient.

 (niAAma alAAabdu)

He's the best slave of Allah. What an amazing, remarkable human being. (innahu awwab), this is where I want to extract the lesson. For me for you, for all of us. Where do we get that patience from? See, it's easy for me to talk about patience, and we've all heard lectures about patience before. But, how do you develop that patience? It's easier to talk about. Especially that story of our Prophet (saw), he comes across a woman crying at the grave of her child, and he says, be patient. And she says, "you don't know what I'm dealing with." Later on, she comes to apologize to the Prophet (saw), she didn't realize that she had responded like that in the heat of the moment. She came to apologize, and the Prophet (saw) told her there was no need to apologize, but he tells her, patience is in the first instance. Again, that's very easy for me to say, very easy for you to listen to, how do we actually accomplish that? The secret is here in the story of Ayyub (as). Allah tells us (innahu awwab). He just kept thinking of Allah. He kept reminding himself of Allah. He kept remembering Allah. He kept turning back to Allah.

The moment he felt weak like he was going to crumble and give in, he immediately thought about Allah, he remembered Allah, and he said the name of Allah. And that's where he drew his strength from. When you have trouble being patient, just say the name of Allah. Next time you want to complain, you want to utter a word of displeasure, before you say anything, just say Alhamdulilah. Then see what follows after that, what do you say after that.

In my own community, recently in a khutbah just talking about gratitude and patience, I gave my community a challenge, and I'd like to issue that challenge here to the brothers and sisters present here. That is, for the next 24 hours, we just learned about an amazing man who had remarkable patience. For the next 24 hours, make a promise, make an oath, challenge yourself, that you will not complain about anything for the next 24 hours. The second you think about and you feel like complaining about something, say Alhamdulilah. You will replace all your complaining with the word Alhamdulilah. The ultimate praise, glorification, and thanks are for Allah. Just say that much. May Allah (swt) grant us all patience. May Allah (swt) protect us all from difficult circumstances. But, when we do deal with some difficulty, may Allah (swt) allow us to be more like the amazing prophet of Allah, Ayyub (as).

Jazakallah!!

What is Dua

Dua means supplication and communicating with Allah and getting closer to him. It is an important part of our faith and belief system. We ask Allah for whatsoever we need in our life, no matter how big or small it is. Umm al-Mu’mineen A’ishah رضّى الله عنها reports:

سلوا الله كل شيء حتى الشسع; فإن الله إن لم ييسره لم يتيسر

“Ask Allaah for everything, even the shasa’ [lace (of a shoe) or a reign of an animal] for verily if Allaah (does not grant it), it will not be facilitated.” Dua is a way to keep in touch with Allah and it ultimately takes us closer to Allah. Thus, Dua is a source of rapprochement of the supplicant to Allah the Almighty.

Importance of Dua

Dua is a form of prayer and it could be done anytime and anywhere there is no fixed time and place to make Dua. It is considered a weapon by which we can change our situation by asking the help of Almighty Allah. Dua can even move mountains. Dua can change one's destiny so try Dua in all situations because with Dua, you will always get closer to Almighty Allah.

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an:

وإذا سألك عبادي عني فإني قريب أجيب دعوة الداع إذا دعان

“When my servants ask you about me, (tell them), I am really close to them, I listen to the prayer of each supplicant when he invokes me.”
 (Quran, 2: 186).
So, with this verse, we can say that Allah(swt) is listening to us when we do Dua. We should always seek help from Allah.

Dua is a form of worship

Prophet Muhammad(saw) said, “The most excellent worship is Dua.” (Sahih Al-Jami)

Allah (swt) says: “[…] And whoever fears Allah—He will make for him a way out / And will provide for him from where he does not expect […]” (Qur’an 65:2-3)

ومن يتق الله يجعل له مخرجاً، ويرزقه من حيث لا يحتسب

Now, I would like to share a story of a Dr and a pious lady who proves the strength of dua and how Allah (swt) can answer our prayers in the most miraculous of ways.

The Story begins like this...

Dr Saeed was an outstanding specialist and was once on his way to a significant medicinal gathering in another city where he would have been allowed an honour for therapeutic research he had as of late done. He had worked long and hard on his exploration. Presently he was looking out for the plane for his plane to take off. He was energized for going to the honour work which would have been led for him, However, an hour after the plane removed, the pilot declared that there was an issue with the plane and they need to stop the plane someplace so they chose to land the plane at the closest air terminal.

On hearing this Dr Saeed got apprehensive that he wouldn't make it in time for the gathering, so he got out the plane after it got landed and disclosed to the lady at the work area that he was relied upon to be at a significant meeting and that he expected to discover another approach to get to his goal. she at that point said that there was no plane for his goal. She said he needs to hang tight for sixteen hours for another train. He was stressed on hearing this. She felt tragic for the specialist and recommended him to lease a vehicle and drive down to the city as it was just three hours away. Having no other decision, the specialist consented to the thought. He was incensed on the grounds that he detested going for long separations.

Having no other decision, The specialist leased a vehicle and began his voyage. When he began his voyage, the climate changed and an overwhelming tempest started. The downpour made it hard for him to see and he missed a turn which he should take. Following two hours of driving, he was persuaded he was lost. Driving in the substantial downpour on a betrayed street made him ravenous and tired. So he thought of resting for quite a while. He was scanning for a spot which will give him nourishment and asylum till the climate quiets down. After some time, he at long last ran over a dull little house. He escaped the vehicle urgently and thumped on the entryway.

A little old lady opened the entryway for him. He clarified his circumstance and inquired as to whether he could utilize her phone. She revealed to him that she didn't have a telephone or power yet that he was free to come in for some nourishment and something warm to drink as he had totally lost his direction and that it would require some investment to get back on the correct street. Ravenous, wet and depleted, the specialist acknowledged her benevolent offer and strolled in. The lady instructed him to take some nourishment and hot tea on the table and afterwards pardoned herself to complete her supplications.

Sitting on the table tasting his tea, the specialist viewed the lady in the diminishing light of the candles as she implored beside what seemed, by all accounts, to be a little bassinet. Each time she completed a supplication, she would begin another, and she was by all accounts charmed in making dua while in sujood (surrender). Once in awhile she would shake the lodging tenderly.

Feeling that the lady may require help, the specialist held onto the chance to talk when she completed one of her petitions and disclosed to her that he trusted Allah (swt) would answer her duas. He at that point said that he saw that she had been making a great deal of dua and inquired as to whether there was something she required that he could get for her or help her with. The lady grinned and said that Allah (swt) had addressed every one of her supplications aside from one. She said she didn't have the foggiest idea why Allah (swt) hadn't addressed this particular petition yet however maybe it was a result of her powerless Imaan (confidence).

The specialist inquired as to whether she wouldn't fret mentioning to him what she was making the dua for. Gesturing her head in endorsement, she said that the kid in the den was her grandson and that the two his folks had as of late kicked the bucket in a fender bender. She said that the youngster had an uncommon kind of disease and that every one of the specialists she had seen was not able to treat him. She additionally said that she had been informed that there was a specialist who had some expertise in the kind of malignant growth her grandson had, yet there was no chance to get for her to get to this specialist as he lived a long way from her; so she has been going through her days and evenings supplicating and making dua' that Allah (swt) causes her figure out how to get to Dr Saeed—the specialist who could treat her grandson.

After hearing her words, tears started to stream down the specialist's cheeks and he stated: 'Subhan'Allah (magnificence be to God), there was a glitch in the plane, a rainstorm hit, and I lost my direction; and the entirety of this happened on the grounds that Allah (swt) didn't simply answer your supplication by helping you figure out how to get to Dr Saeed, however, he brought Dr Saeed to your home. I am Dr Saeed.'

With tears spilling down her cheeks, the lady lifted her hands in dua' and stated: 'Gracious Allah, how extraordinary and tolerant You are!

This is the supplication of Prophet Ibrahim(as) and his followers

رَّبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ
Rabbanaa ‘alayka tawakkalnaa wa-ilayka anabnaa wa ilaykal-maseer
Our Lord, upon You we put our trust, and to You, we turn, and to You is the final return
Surah Al-Mumtahinah, verse 4

As we say always duas are important in one's life as they change our lives in a miraculous way. We are here to provide you duas which you can recite in your difficult times and get benefitted from it. This dua was recited by Ibrahim (as) when he was facing difficulty. We hope you will also get rid of the difficulty which you are currently facing. In the end, Allah knows the best...Never stop praying...

As we are here and going to recite dua said by Ibrahim(as)... We would like to tell you a fact of Ibrahim (as)....He only lied three times in his entire life... What a great personality!! We must take him as our role model and try to speak the truth even in a difficult situation.

            The Three Lies

Described Abu Hurayrah :

Abu Hurayrah said that Ibrahim didn't lie aside from on three events. Twice for Allah when he stated, "I am wiped out," and he stated, "(I have not done this yet) the enormous icon has done it.The (third was) that while Ibrahim and Sarah (his significant other) were going (on a voyage) they cruised by (the domain of) a dictator. Somebody said to the dictator, "This man (for example Ibrahim) is joined by a beguiling lady."So, he sent for Ibrahim and got some information about Sarah saying, "Who is this woman?" Ibrahim stated, "She is my sister."Ibrahim went to Sarah and stated, "O Sarah! There are no adherents on the outside of the earth with the exception of you and I. This man inquired as to yourself and I have disclosed to him that you are my sister, so don't negate my announcement."

The dictator at that point called Sarah and when she went to him, he attempted to grab hold of her with his hand, however (his hand got hardened and) he was puzzled. He asked Sarah. "Implore Allah for me, and I will not hurt you." So Sarah requested that Allah fix him and he got relieved. He attempted to grab hold of her for the subsequent time, yet (his hand got as hardened as or stiffer than previously and) was progressively frustrated. He again mentioned Sarah, "Go to Allah for me, and I won't hurt you." Sarah asked Allah again and he turned out to be okay. He at that point called one of his watchmen (who had brought her) and stated, "You have not presented to me a person, however, have presented to me a villain."

The despot at that point gave Hajar as a young lady worker to Sarah. Sarah returned (to Ibrahim) while he was imploring. Ibrahim, signalling with his hand, asked, "What has occurred?" She answered, "Allah has ruined the underhanded plot of the unbeliever (or corrupt individual) and gave me Hajar for administration." (Abu Huraira then tended to his audience members saying, "That (Hajar) was your mom, O Bani Ma-is-Sama (for example the Arabs, the relatives of Ishmael, Hajar's child)." (Sahih Bukhari, Book #55, Hadith #578)

Ibrahim at that point left Egypt with his significant other, Sarah, bunches of blessings, cash and furthermore Hajrah, the Egyptian ladies.

My dear brothers and sisters...Take it as a challenge... Challenge your self that today I will not lie... I will try my best to be truthful... May Allah grant ease in everything we are facing... Ameen...

Jazakallah!!
